Iwate Town and the Iwate Town Board of Education, with the support of the Embassy of Ireland in Japan, will host a Study Tour to Iwate Town from October 17 to November 1, 2025.

This program is open to final-year secondary school students in Ireland who are studying Japanese. Participants will attend classes at Iwate Prefectural Numakunai High School, stay with local families, visit schools, and join cultural activities and tours in Iwate Prefecture.

• Participants: Up to ８ (minimum 4)
• Application Deadline: September 16, 2025
• Requirements: Application form, personal statement (400–800 characters in Japanese), passport copy. If selected: travel insurance and airline ticket copy.

Costs:

• Students cover: airfare, insurance, Wi-Fi, Tokyo meals & personal expenses.
• Iwate Town covers: homestay, Shinkansen, admin fees, Tokyo hotel, Haneda pickup.
